A quick update. Awaiting my new camera.

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to give you all a little update as I've been missing in action this past week. As much as I've wanted to post for you all, I've been having major lighting/camera issues this past month. My camera might look pretty snazzy, but in all honesty, it's only a good outdoor camera. Now that it's too cold and gloomy outside to photograph, I've been stuck trying my best to photograph indoors with very mediocre results. I take pride in the photos and content I put out for you all, and I just wouldn't be happy providing you all with photos that aren't good quality as well as good color accuracy, etc.

So, I'm really excited to let you know that I ordered my first SLR camera earlier in the week and I've been anxiously awaiting receiving it! I ended up choosing a Canon EOS Rebel T4i 18 Megapixels Digital SLR Camera, and I'm feeling really optimistic that I'm going to like it a lot.

I'm looking forward to doing more tutorials, as this camera has a viewfinder so I actually see what I'm photographing. I'm sure it will make doing tutorials a million times easier.

I'll talk to you all very soon! I just wanted to keep you posted, so won't think I forgot about you! ;)

  5. OOOOh i'm jealous! Well if you need any help shoot me an email. I've been shooting with my Canon EOS T3i for over a year now and I love it. I watched a lot of videos instructions but ultimately I had to take a class which took up 4 Saturdays for 3hrs each to figure out how to use it!

  12. Interesting! I love the way you photograph your products! Everything is so clear! I bet you guys get more daylight there than we do in the UK though, all my photos are in bright artificial lighting which kinda looks like an alien abduction house from outside lol

  13. If you don't mind me asking, what will you do with your old nikon? I just wanted to know because I am a beauty blogger who has merely been using my iPhone to take makeup pics...I really cant afford to buy a REAL camera. Please reply :)

    1. I haven't decided yet, but I only had it for 9 months, so It's in pretty good condition. I'm most likely going to sell it, but it's not a camera I'd recommend. It took a lot of practice, patience and time to get decent photos from it. Unless one lives in a very sunny climate, it might be okay. I've always had good luck with Canon Powershot Cameras, and I'd highly recommend those for something that is less expensive. This one for instance is only $79 and it works great. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Your-Choice-Canon-PowerShot-A2300-16MP-Digital-Camera-w-5x-Optical-Zoom-Value-Bundle-with-8GB-SD-Card-and-Case/21097399
