I was shopping at Walmart the other day and came to a crashing hault when I saw a big display of Hard Candy Cosmetics. I never knew it was sold at Walmart and I never knew it was as cheap as it is. Everything looked so pretty.. there are lots of vibrant colors and not to mention the packaging is very cute. I figured I'd test the waters and purchase a couple items, do my research (read reviews) before I rack up a tab. Most of the cosmetics are $5.00 and $6.00, some go up to $9.00.
I ended up getting a the "Painted Lady Lip Colour" called Fire Alarm #200 and "Plexi Gloss glossy lip shine" in Diamond (clear) #173. The gloss was $5 and the lipstick was $6.

My lips here are bare, lined with MAC Stripdown Lip Liner.
Left: The Lipstick, Right: With the gloss applied over (very thin coat of lipstick)

First off, the texture is extremely slippery. I can't think of what I would compare it to.. maybe a MAC glaze because of the slipperyness and smooth feeling on the lips. It feels really lightweight and buttery soft and creamy to the touch. But, when you rub your lips together, it doesn't feel like a lip stick, it feels like you just applied a thin lip balm. Its so feathery light, that it feels like nothing at all is on my lips. You can build the coverage from sheer to very pigmented. I only need a couple swipes and the color is perfect for me. It didn't accentuate any dryness in my lips or look like concealer. It actually reminds me of MAC Hue, which is my favorite pink lip stick. Or even MAC Florabundance/Underage Lipglass. It's not too light, just the perfect pink. It looks like there is a touch of coral when you look at the tube, but I don't see any coral tone once applied.
As for the clear gloss, I'm really liking it too. It's not at all sticky or gel-like. It's very liquidy and moisturizing & adds a great shine to my lips.
Both are winners, and I'll definately be looking forward to purchasing more Hard Candy! :)

Here's a small list of products that I've been using a lot of this month!

1) Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lip Glaze in Unlimited Nectar. This is the typical lip gloss I would wear every day. I would either pair it with Revlon Nude Attitude or wear it by itself. It is the perfect peach. And it lasts for hours, which is plus for me because I don't have time to reapply at work! As you can see, its pretty empty, so I need to buy a new one soon!
2) Napoleon Perdis Eyeshadow Palette. I bought this palette from Target by the holiday makeup sets for $9.99. I've been using these shadows just about every day. My favs. are the dark brown (which reminds me of Urban Decay Twice Baked) & the shimmery black. The colors are all pigmented and well worth $10!
3) NYX Powder Blush in Sand. This is definately one of my new favorite bronzers. I've been using it just about every day since I purchased it. It's subtle, but you can definately build the color. The consistency is so prefect that It never smears, blotches or gets muddy on my face. It blends flawlessly and it has a beautiful golden sheen.
4) NYX Single Eye Shadow in Dark Brown. I love this for filling in my brows. I like using it on days where I don't wear much makeup and I want my brows to look more natural. Like I've mentioned in previous posts, I love using it along with Make Up Forever's brow corrector.
5) MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in Gilt by Association. I love smudging this under my lashline and above my lashline along with a black eye shadow. It's so gorgeous and gives my eyes a small pop of color and shimmer.
6) ULTA Nail Lacquer in X-Dry. This is my favorite top coat at the moment. My nail polish always lasts a solid week before any chipping and it dries in less than a minute.
7) LA Girl Matte Nail Polish in Turqouise. I usually get tired of nail polishes quick, but I keep on using this color without getting sick of it. I think its the perfect color for the season. :) I like to wear it matte, or with a shiny top coat.
8) MAC Stripdown Lip Liner. This is the perfect every day lip liner. I always wear it with my Revlon lipgloss, mentioned 1st.. and it looks gorgeous!
9) Covergirl Lash Blast. Yeah, I know you're sick of hearing it, but it had to go in my November favorites! 10) 40 Carrots Moisture Splurge. This is an awesome moisturizer I picked up at Marshalls for $6.99. I use it every day as a moisturizer before I apply my foundation. The consistency is runny, and It leaves my skin moist without being too saturated or creamy. And, the smell is amazing!!! It's mango and carrots. I can't get enough of this stuff.

Sinful Colors - Beautiful Girl

I bought this at Walgreens for $1.99. I really like Sinful Colors Nail Polishes. They seem to last pretty long without peeling off or chipping off. So far, I've had this on my nails for around 4 days and I love it. It's always been hard for me to find the perfect baby pink nail polish. With my skin tone, if I go too light pink.. it looks really unflattering. This color is perfect. :) I don't know if this is a brand carried worldwide, but they do sell it on http://cherryculture.com (They currently have a Thanksgiving 20% off sale that goes on until the 30th) So, its the perfect time to order! I might pick up some more NYX Blushes, since I really love the ones I purchased last.
Hey Everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was wonderful spending it with the people that mean the most to me :) And wow, I have close to 540 subscribers! That's awesome! Thank you everyone for

Post in my comments!Anyway, I got a few goodies in the mail this week and I thought I'd share!Giorgio ArmaniSilk Lipstick in shade #22 & Armani Lip Shimmer in #22
yeeeeeah. I should of wiped off the lipstick before I took this picture. lolThe lipstick sort of reminds me of MAC High Tea, but a little more pink. It has the same smooth texture, similar to a mac glaze or luster and it has a pretty shine to it. It is also very sheer and my lip color does show through. The gloss is also very sheer and is almost exactly the same color as the lipstick except it has a tiny hint of coral to it plus sparkle. This was such an amazing swap, she also added a really nice freebie :)Left: The lipstick alone, Right: The lipstick with the lipgloss over it

This is a great color for me to use on days where I want minimal bronzer. Even though its very light, it show on my NC40 skin tone. It also looks like a lovely color to contour with. I will have a review for this soon on Make Up Alley.
I have it pictured with two of my favorites.. MAC powder blush in Honour (my favorite highlight) and MAC bronzer in Refined Golden. As you can see Taupe is a light powdery.. well, taupe. :)
MAC Lip Liner Pencil in StripdownI'm surprised I never purchased this color before, but it has surely became my favorite MAC Lip Liner Pencil. It is the perfect color for a nude lip. It is a very light brown thats very flattering on my skin tone. Here is a picture along with my other top favorites.Left to Right: Stripdown, Hover & Spice.
