What I'm wearing/using lately.

I switch up the products I use just about every day otherwise I'd never get through any of my products. Typically when I find myself using the same products over and over for longer than a week, I always find it worthy of a blog post.

* I apologize that this post is a little photo heavy, but the lighting was fantastic today, so I took advantage of it by snapping lots of photos.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer + Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer
As you all may already know, Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer has been my top pick since this past April and I haven't felt the need to venture out in trying any new concealers. The only downside with Glamoflauge is that if it's not properly powdered, it may fade a little throughout the day. I decided to try a 50% MAC Pro Longwear, 50% Hard Candy Glamoflauge mixture for my under-eyes and it is the best combination ever. Full coverage and it won't budge all day.

E.L.F. Mineral Blending Eye Brush
This is basically a synthetic tapered blending brush. It is now my favorite brush for applying concealer. It's an awesome brush for those of you who love the MAC 224 for concealer but would like a non-shedding alternative.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation
I took the plunge recently and purchased this as my every day foundation. It's a bit lighter coverage than foundations I'm typically use to, but the finish is absolutely amazing that I don't mind my blemishes mildly peeking through. This is currently in my top 3 (the other two would be Chanel Vitalumiere and Guerlain Parure Extreme).

Sephora Professional #55 Airbrush
I purchased this brush a couple of years ago to use with my MAKE UP FOREVER HD Foundation. I honestly thought it was a little "overly" hyped and I didn't find it to be anything special. It's probably my least used foundation brush, but I pulled it out recently to apply my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua and it works perfectly.

Guerlain Meteorites
I've been using my Meteorites every day as a setting powder for my under-eyes and face. The shade I'm using is "Mythic", which is a discontinued shade, but I believe the closest shade to it available now is Teint Rose. Mythic contains several color correcting spheres that when combined creates a pale pink illuminating powder that is almost undetectable on the skin. It keeps oil/dewiness away that will usually appear in a few hours without looking powdery and preserves the radiance of my foundation.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Deep Dark
I'm totally late on the MSF bandwagon. Until last week, I have never tried any of MAC's Natural MSF's for bronzing/contouring. Deep Dark is a very pigmented caramel brown that works perfectly as a natural contour/all over bronzer. This is probably my favorite matte bronzer. I love that it doesn't turn purple or ruddy on my cheeks (which MAC Blunt and Benefit Hoola do).

Chanel Joues Contaste Blush in Orchid Rose
Lately I have been wearing more of my natural blushes opposed to my warm toned, brights or peach/coral toned blushes that dominate my blush collection. I don't have too many options for light, neutral shades but I absolutely love Orchid Rose. It's perfect for every day and I think it's universally flattering. It's a shade that doesn't get enough recognition in my opinion. I highly recommend checking it out! What's your favorite neutral shade? I've had my eyes on MAC Blushbaby for a while now.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Petticoat
On days where I haven't been wearing Orchid Rose, I've been using Petticoat for a subtle berry pink glow over my cheeks.

MAC Eyeshadow in Era
Era is a soft, golden beige with a satin finish. It may not look like anything special in the pan, but it works beautifully as a soft crease contour. I usually wear Brule all over the lid and Era in the crease. Typically I would wear Cork, but ever since I've gotten my hands on Era, I'm loving it much more for every day.

Covergirl Lash Perfection Volumizing Mascara
I love this mascara, but sadly I don't think I'll be re-purchasing it. I'm a little bummed because I really like it, but it runs out ridiculously quick. I thought it was great that it's a couple of dollars cheaper than the mascara I usually use (Covergirl Lash Blast) but someone brought it to my attention that Lash Perfection has 1/2 of the product. Go figure. Also, when I remove this mascara I lose a minimum of 5 lashes. I'm pretty sure I'll need a lash conditioner after I'm through with this tube.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bolero
The color of this pencil is gorgeous, but the product itself stinks. I like to wear it because it's such a pretty shade that's flattering on my skintone and brightens up my face. It's also very convenient because it's in a jumbo pencil form and doesn't have to be sharpened often. But, the formula is totally drying and highlights every dry flake on my lips. I always have to make sure to apply my Smith's Rosebud Salve on my lips prior to keep my lips moisturized while wearing this.

MAC Clear Lip Glass
I always wear this on top of Nars Bolero to add shine to my lips and prolong the actual wear of the lip pencil because of it's thick, sticky texture. It works great!

Left to Right: Guerlain Meteorites in Mythic (very heavy swatch), Chanel Orchid Rose Blush, MAC Petticoat MSF, MAC Deep Dark MSF, MAC Era Eyeshadow, Nars Bolero Lip Pencil

  6. I recently did a monthly favorites post on my blog too and I love how your MSF Petticoat photographs. It looks so gorgeous in the pan, but I find it too shimmery when worn on the cheeks. =(
