MAC Deep Dark Mineralize Skinfinish
Deep Dark Mineralize Skinfinish is a deep golden bronze baked mineral powder that can work as an all over setting powder for dark skintones, or a contour/bronzing powder for medium skintones. The powder is really soft and very pigmented. I tried this out for the first time today as a bronzer and I barely had to touch the product with my brush to bronze my face. A little goes a very long way, so you have be careful, especially if you have light skin. I can easily see myself going overboard on accident if I don't watch how much is going on my brush.

Left: NARS Exhibit A Blush, Right: NARS Mounia Blush
Exhibit A is a blush that I've had on my wish-list for the past couple of years, so I'm so happy I finally have it. It's a very vibrant chili red with a matte finish.
Mounia is much more purple toned than I expected. The color is a rich, cranberry plum with subtle shimmer. Like Exhibit A, this shade is packed with pigment and a little goes a very long way. I'm not sure if this shade was limited edition or if it was discontinued, but I don't see it on the NARS or Sephora website. Anyone know?

Left: Guerlain Meteorites in Mythic, Right: Guerlain Meteorites in Beige Chic
I am beyond excited about these Meteorites. I already have a mini jar of the Beige Chic Meteorites, but I am thrilled to finally have the full size.

Mythic is a mixture of bunch of color correcting powder spheres that will work together to brighten and even out the complexion. When mixed together, it's a pale pink illuminating powder. Even though I'd rather saw off my own leg (was that too extreme?) than apply a pink powder all over my face, this powder is very sheer and doesn't alter my foundation shade.
Beige Chic does basically the same thing as Mythic, but it doesn't have any color correctors. It's a variety of warm shades that works well on medium skintones. It's an overall fantastic setting powder that's not very detectable.

I believe both shades are now discontinued or were limited edition. There are now only three Meteorites to choose from on the Guerlain website, and Teint Rose seems to be a little similar to Mythic.

I'll be doing individual posts for each of the products which will include the products in more detail, swatches and my review!

Do you own any of these products? What do you think about them?

  4. I have both of the NARS blushes and they look so pretty on. I can't wait to hear your full thoughts on them both. I haven't tried the Guerlain Meteorites, but it seems like a cool product. The MAC Deep Dark Mineralize Skinfinish used to be my favourite product, until it started to break me out, but that's my experience.

    Great post. xx

  13. I have both Exhibit A and Mounia and love them!! I find that Exhibit A looks best with a tan. This is random but I sometimes mix a tiny bit of Exhibit A with Dolce Vita and it makes such a pretty color. I'm pretty sure they discontinued Mounia when they discontinued Crazed.
