Like mentioned above in the description, all palettes come with a variety of four shades. It's great because if your skin tone differs through the year (lighter and winter and darker in the summer) you have a variety of shades handy, or you can customize your shade by mixing the colors. Each palette comes with a small applicator brush with synthetic bristles (shown below).

It was a bit of a bummer that Medium was out of stock because it would have been the perfect palette for my skin tone. I am able to use the darkest shade in the Light palette though, and get a pretty decent match. I also like using the third shade in the Light palette because it has a rosy undertone, which works great for camouflaging dark circles.

REVIEW: I was never really interested in trying this product until E.L.F. had their 50% off sale, so $1.50 per palette was a pretty awesome deal. First off, the packaging is their standard black packaging with a clear plastic window. The same as their Studio blushes, eye shadows, bronzers, powders, etc. It's pretty sturdy and good quality for the price. As mentioned, a small synthetic brush is included, but it is so small that I don't find it useful for under my eyes. It's more useful for covering small spots. The consistency of the concealer is very creamy/slippery. Although it's creamy, I find that it doesn't spread that well on the skin, so for application, I like using my ring finger and patting it under my eyes. I expected this to be a sheer concealer that will almost disappear once smoothed under my eyes, but it actually has pretty decent coverage and doesn't really budge. The coverage is a good medium with two thin layers. It kind of just "sits" on top of the skin, so it can cake if you layer too much. I find that the less you work with it the better. The finish is a little dewy, so it definitely needs to be set with a powder to avoid creasing and transferring. One thing I noticed that I didn't really like was that once I applied my powder on top, the concealer underneath looked like it settled weird/caked up a little - common with some cream concealers. It wasn't very noticeable unless I looked closely in a mirror. Although I don't love this concealer, I don't dislike it either. It's a concealer with a good variety of shades, is quick & easy and is very in-expensive. I've come across several good reviews for this product, so it's worth a try!

  1. I also bought the palette in light & noticed that the brush isn't great. I bought the $1 concealer brush & that doesn't seem to work either. I will have to try using my fingers. Thanks for sharing this wonderful review :)

  6. These look like such a great value. Unfortunatly I haven't seen them at my Target location. The lip balm look great too but I hate how bulky the packaging is.

    1. Did you try adding a pigmented powder on top? It'll help. By the way, anything with pigmentation(whether it be eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, etc.) has sun protection; the more pigmented, the more protection, especially if there's enough for it to be opaque; it just happens the FDA doesn't let companies say it'll protect from the sun for advertising(it's like advertising a regular old shirt for it's sun protection properties) unless it has an active ingredient used purposely for sun protection. :) Just thought you might like to know that. Hope you have more positive experiences in the future.
