Introduction to my blog + Three FOTD's

Hi Everyone!

My name is Natalie and I am a 21 year old beauty junkie! I may not be a professional in the beauty industry, but it is my passion. I love researching, reading and trying new products and sharing my awesome finds with others.

I'm beginning this blog just for fun. Hopefully the content I will provide in my future entries will be helpful to you and I hope you will enjoy reading my blog!

Yours truly,
Natty

Here are a few past FOTD's (Face of the Day; what makeup I'm wearing for that particular day)

For this look I attempted to recreate a look by Katie Price. She was also very bronzed for the look.. (I happened to go a little overboard with the bronzer.. yikes! Some advice when you use Bare Escentuals Faux Tan Bronzer.. use w/ a very light hand!! haha!)

  7. Pretty gal, but why do so many people have to insist on wearing the wrong foundation color is beyond me?!

Seeing fair girls with orange faces or musch to dark foundation caked on and (although not nearly as bad) because your is applied well, to me looks a few shade lighter than your natural skin tone, as can see the pigmentation coming through/the look of the foundation with that darker color underneath.

Supect the tone on temple is a bit closer to natural color.

And with such a variety nowadays finding the right match is very possible for every one and if not but nearer than demonstrated, can always mix!

Foundations for a natural and overal better look should always be to the same skin tone, I know so many get it wrong or want to be darker (n your case paler) but you will never ever see that on any pro shoot or event.. unless ofcorse the specicif styling/look requires and then it is an obvious thing.

Unless your body is faux or naturally many many shades darker than face which is also all wrong.. but then your animated self is completly fairer..and after foundation if you then cakeon bronzer

    Oh I give up
pehaps my pov is wrong, but then still (in my opinion) thats still a huge no-no never with any makeup routine !

I am a make up retailer and have been told that unless finding the perfect or very close to match with a matte foundation or powder, with darker skin tones it is not a good idea.

Because with fairer if the matter oxidises and goes darker once on or more orangy it is usual less noticable or easier to pull off than one that is too light, because of the powdery/'caked on' effect.

  8. @Anonymous Actually the estee lauder double wear foundation that this lady is wearing has spf in it, hence the white cast. But recently they have removed the spf from their foundation. Still, you have to remember most-if not all-foundations have titanium dioxide in their ingredient list, which is a sunscreen ingredient. Estee lauder double wear is definitely not for everyone. I have found that my skin tone nearly perfectly matches shell beige, whereas my sister on the other hand has to blend shell beige with tawny. Hopefully they will add more shades that don't only appeal to fake tanned girls.

  9. Hi Natty
Beautiful work!! I have one request - can you please do an Aishwarya Rai look (with instructions or a video tutorial)? You seem to focus on eyes and lips so you'll so a great job if you re-create her look. Thanks so much!! Keep it up!!
