MAC Nude on Board Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder
MAC Hey, Sailor! Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder ($28) was released in MAC's latest Hey, Sailor! Collection. It's a new formula bronzer that claims to provide a sheer, natural coverage that is long-wearing and remains comfortable on the skin throughout the day.
There are two shades to choose from: Nude on Board (Bronzy, yellow-tone) and Sun Dipped (Dirty, red-tone).
Nude on Board is a light, golden-yellow tan with a hint of golden shimmer. I thought it'd be a better match for my skintone, as golden bronzers tend to work better on my skin without making my complexion look ruddy or muddy.
In comparison to MAC's standard Bronzing Powder, the texture is much softer. The standard bronzing powders are a little dry, but these powders are very smooth and are easier to blend. The texture is comparable to MAC Beauty Powder.
Swatches of Nude on Board
If you like bronzers that you can be very free with, without having to worry about going overboard, this is a great bronzer.
Most bronzers I use stay put all-day on my skin, so no real complaints in that dept. I've been wearing this bronzer all week, and the lasting power seems to be pretty average.
Here are a few comparisons to other bronzers:
As you can see from the swatches, all of the other bronzers compared are traditionally more bronze-toned. Nude on Board has no red tones what-so-ever, so it's not going to give that coppery-bronze appearance.
Overall, I really like the bronzer and hope that sometime in the future MAC decides to make the Pro Longwear Bronzers a part of their permanent line. I really like the texture, blendability and finish of these powders, and wish they had more shades!
The Round-Up
Pros:- Soft, smooth texture
- Blends very easily - never looks patchy or dirty, even when layered
- Sheer (but buildable), so you can use it freely without worrying about overdoing it
- Might come off a little orange on certain skintones
- Won't show up very well on medium-deep to deep skintones
Did you try either of the Pro Longwear Bronzers? What'd you think?
