First off, I love the packaging of Revlon's Colorburst line. The black quilted design of the cap looks really chic, and has a higher-end feel. I also love the applicator. It's your standard sponge applicator, but it's slightly flatter, so it glides nicely across the lips and picks up a good amount of product when inserted in the tube.

The consistency of the lipgloss is really nice - It's not watery, overly thick or sticky. It feels pretty good on my lips and doesn't dry them out. It actually feels fairly moisturizing.

The color is sheer with a couple of swipes, but can be built up for more opacity. Although I prefer the way it looks when applied in layers (to show the true color), it feels a little thick on my lips, so I'll usually apply it sheerly or applied over a pink lipstick. Because my lips are pretty pigmented, when using this lipgloss alone, I like applying MAC Lip Erase to my lips prior, so the outcome is more of a baby pink.

And, here it is on my bare lips. I did blot (very little) foundation on my lips to tone down any redness.

I was able to snag this on sale at CVS a couple of weeks ago, while there was $5 extra-cash back, so it ended up being like $3. So, it was a pretty awesome deal and a perfect time to try the line out. The price does differ from each store and location, but the average price is around $7. It's not too bad, but I'd still wait for a sale to come around before snagging a couple more shades.

I overall really like the shade I picked up. It looks great on its own, as well as applied over top any of my pink or nude lipsticks. It adds a nice tinge of pink shine. I find it difficult to find the right shade of pink that will suit my skintone when it comes to drugstore lip colors, so it's always exciting to find one that I like. The overall formula is really nice. I kinda wish it was slightly more opaque, but I really can't complain. I think Revlon does lip products really well (love the super lustrous and mineral lip glazes) and the Colorburst lipgloss line is no exception!

  1. I bought this very same colour a few weeks back but completely forgot about it (sign of having to much make up? LOL). Thanks for the reminder, it looks lovely on your lips.
