NOTD: Rimmel Lasting Finish Steel Grey! + Photos!

This was a very popular color last year, but I never purchased it because I was loving my Orly Mirror Mirror and Essie Chinchilly. Since I absolutely love Rimmel Lasting Finish polishes, I decided to give Steel Grey a try. I wear grey very often.. almost every day, so I love wearing grey nail polish! Steel Grey applies very nicely - not too thick or thin, and it dries fairly quick between coats. The color is a dove grey - it almost looks like a neutral, dusty purple.

I applied 3 thin coats (although 2 was fine) and 1 coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat. I never apply 3, so I hope it's not going to be too thick on my nails and peel off.

Have you tried this polish or anything similar??

Maybelline FIT ME Foundation & Concealer Review, Photos & Swatches!

Maybelline FIT ME Foundation & Concealer

The first time I caught a glimpse of this line was at Wal-mart a couple of weeks ago. I was right away very interested because of the sleek packaging and the golden-yellow shades this line had to offer, which is very hard to find in drugstore foundations. I didn't see a price though, so I passed it up. It wasn't until last weekend when I was at my local Jewel/Osco browsing the cosmetic aisle, I spotted the display - the foundation was on sale for only $5.99!! So, I found my match and purchased a bottle.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Review: Love & Beauty Pink Creme Blush & Lip Tint!

Love & Beauty Creme Blush & Lip Tint (from Forever 21)

I picked up this blush at Forever 21 while I was doing some Christmas shopping a few weeks ago. It's a cream based blush can also be used on the lips. I'm not sure if there are any other shades than "Pink".. this is the only shade I saw and there are none currently on their website. It has a nice smooth consistency that's not too oily, waxy or overly creamy. It almost has the consistency of a lip balm - but slightly creamier. It has good pigmentation and blends evenly. It looks a little dull in the compact, but applied to my cheeks it brightens up my face and because of my yellow toned skin.. this blush pulls a little coral colored. I've been using this lately as a base for some of my powder brushes and it works great. I also really like this on the lips. It almost reminds me of MAC Creme Cup. It is slightly drying for the lips though.. so I would recommend a lip balm prior to application. Not bad for $3.80!

on my bare lips..

I always have good finds at Forever 21.. have you discovered any good products there lately?

So, Does MAC Pro Longwear run Light or Dark?? I've got Swatches & Photos Inside!

I've read several reviews for the MAC Pro Longwear foundation and concealer and half of the reviews I was reading said that it runs light and the other half said it ran dark. I'm sure many of you may be confused.. just as I was. When I went to the MAC counter and asked how the foundation color runs in comparison to Studio Fix Fluid, the employee said it runs slightly light. I was very hesitant to get NC42, because both times I ever purchased NC42 (For Studio Fix Powder and Studio Tech - both run light), NC42 was too dark/orange. So, I swatched NC40 on my hand and it looked fine.. so I purchased NC40. She also agreed it should work fine for me and it wasn't much of a difference. I also purchased my usual shade of concealer NW25.

Below, I swatched a few of my other MAC NW25 concealers for color comparison. From L to R: MAC Pro Longwear NW25, MAC Moisturecover NW25, MAC Select Cover-up NW25 and MAC Studio Sculpt NW25. From the looks of the tube, I thought it ran dark. But, compared to the others.. it wasn't a big difference. Moisturecover was the darkest of them all, Studio Sculpt was slightly lighter than Pro Longwear and Select Cover-up. The Pro Longwear and Select Cover-up were pretty much almost identical. Blended.. they all looked the same.. and I could barely tell the difference except for the fact that Moisturecover was the slightest touch darker.
