YSL Faux Cils Mascara Review!

ysl faux cils mascara review

I've been now using this mascara every day for about a week, and I can already say that I absolutely love this mascara. I'm so thrilled that I decided to splurge on this mascara. I believe this could possibly be my new favorite mascara.

What I really love about this mascara is that it lengthens and gives amazing volume. There aren't many mascaras out there that do both. Also, instead of having to wait in between coats, I can apply the wand to my lashes continuously and it will continue building volume until I've reached my desired look.

YSL Faux Cils Mascara review
Here are my lashes with YSL Faux Cils Mascara.

I find that with a lot of volumizing mascaras, if you keep applying, you will get short, fat lashes that will sometimes stick together. But this is absolutely wonderful. Of course with loads of volume, you will have a few clumps, but I don't have any major clumping with this mascara. Just thick, plush lashes.

It has a fresh floral fragrance that I really love. Some may not care for it, but I really enjoy it, and I can actually smell it on my lashes.

I actually received a compliment on my lashes by a gal at the local drugstore a couple days ago and I stood there for like 10 mins giving her mascara recommendations. And, I had a couple friends and family members ask me if I was wearing fake eye lashes. That really wow's me because I never get compliments on my lashes! Oh yeah, and when I let my friend use it, she was like Whoa!! What mascara is this!? So yeah, this mascara rocks!!! haha

UPDATE: I stopped using this as my every day mascara because lately it's been transferring under my eyes. So sad, because this would have been my HG mascara.

The only other downside is that it dries out very quickly. To keep the mascara from drying out, it's good to rinse the brush under hot water for around 30 seconds and put it back in the tube (without drying it off). It will extend the life of your mascara.

My Weekend Photos, FOTD and a small haul!

Hello loves!

I haven't posted in a few days because I haven't been home too much! I spent Friday with my best friend shopping at this huge outlet mall that had loads of great stores! Here are some pictures from my day out :)

Isn't she gorgeous???

This is the makeup I was wearing, even though you can't see it well in detail. I LOVE YSL Faux Cils, I am so happy I decided to buy it. It really does lengthen and volumize. And, I'm obsessed with it's scent!

While Shopping, I found these sandals at Nine West (they're actually the very sandals I was wearing that day.. they're from last summer) but I purchased another pair because I love them so much and mine were getting pretty shabby. They were only $29.99; 1/3rd the price I paid for them! My friend thought I was crazy for buying another pair.

Nine West Heech Sandals $29.99
ALDO Aviators $12

AND, I went back and purchased those hoodies I wanted from Victoria's Secret, and a pair of yoga pants. They were $10 off. The gray hoodie was $54.50, the yellow hoodie was $49.50 and the pants were $19.50.

Lastly, while I was at Walgreen's, I picked up L'Oreal HIP Cream Shadow Paint in the shade Secretive, which is like a beige flesh toned color. The price is regular $11.99, and they were on sale for around $3.89 (I'm not sure if they are discontinuing these or what, but they were clearance) I figured that was a huge price cut and it looks similar to my MAC Bare Canvas Paint, which I adore! The consistency is creamier than MAC paint, but it works just as good. I like the creaminess of this better. And it comes with a little brush!

My Face of the Day & Dinner at PF! Yum.

I went shopping sort of late, so I didn't get to go on a new handbag/ysl lip gloss extravaganza as planned. By the time I arrived at the mall, it was around 7:30 PM, and I had to rush back home at 8:30, so I only had the chance to browse Sephora quickly. They didn't sell YSL at that particular location, which was the main reason I went. Oh well. I may just have to go to a department store to look at the colors.

So, ditched the mall and went to Pf Changs. I had Honey Chicken with Garlic Noodles. Best meal ever!

I'm so short. lol, I'm only 5'2

Here's my make-up! Basically my every day makeup, minus faux lashes. I styled my hair with my Caruso steam rollers. All I used was 6 rollers, and it took about 10 minutes!
