MAC Fleshpot Lipstick Review + Comparison to MAC Myth Lipstick!

MAC Fleshpot Lipstick

MAC Fleshpot Lipstick is an ultra-pale pastel pink with a satin finish. The satin formula isn't my favorite - although the color is very opaque, I find the formula to be drying on my lips. Also, because the finish is almost matte, I find it to look too dull on my lips, so I always top it off with some lipgloss.

It's a good color to use for mixing, and toning down other colors. Combined with a clear lipgloss, it reminds me of MAC Underage Lipglass.

It resembles MAC Myth very closely - on the lips, I can barely tell the difference. Side by side, Myth is more peach, whereas Fleshpot is more pink. Neither flatter my skintone when applied alone, but they work well lightly patted on the lips, with a pink lipgloss on top.

MAC Fleshpot is a MAC Pro shade and can only be purchased at a MAC Pro store. I believe you can also purchase on the phone, by contacting customer service.

MAC High Tea Lipstick Review!

MAC High Tea Lipstick

I went to my local MAC counter last night to redeem my Back 2 MAC Lipstick, and ending up getting High Tea. At the counter it seemed to look really similar to MAC Freckletone (one of my favorites), so I thought it'd be worth a try.

MAC High Tea Lipstick is a beige-pink with pearl (lustre). 

High Tea is really sheer, so depending on your natural lip color, this shade will vary from person to person. It adds a sheer wash of pearly pink-beige to the lips and lots of shine. Since I have natural rosy lips, I like toning them down with a tiny bit of concealer before applying this lipstick.

I love the Lustre formulation because it feels extremely creamy and moisturizing on the lips.

Although it's a pretty lipstick, it's a little sheer for my liking. I'm unsure as of right now If I'd repurchase.

Revlon Nude Attitude + Swatch Comparisons!

At CVS Pharmacy, Revlon is buy one get one free! So I finally decided to buy the matte lipstick in Nude Attitude. I've been wanting to buy this for quite some time. Matte lipsticks typically don't flatter me.. they have a tendency to make me look washed out or make my lips look gray. Surprisingly, this lipstick doesn't do that for me. Its a very pigmented, matte nude beige/peach with slight pink sheen (that's not really noticeable.. but you can see it by looking closely).

Lighting: Sunlight, no flash.

Here's a swatch comparison. This is with several nude MAC lipsticks.. and then my NYX nude lipsticks. Sorry, my swatches aren't that great.

 NYX Circe is an opaque, muted neutral beige-mauve.

NYX Orange Soda is an opaque, muted orange-peach.

NYX Honey, is an opaque, muted tan-beige. It's very similar to Circe, but it lacks the mauve/pink tone that is present in Circe. Honey is more tan toned.

NYX Pumpkin Pie is a mid-toned peached coral with a touch of pink. It is the least opaque of the previous three, but the color is buildable.

NYX Ballerina Pink is a bright, mid-toned pink with a very soft pearled shimmer. 

NYX Pink is a bright, mid-toned pink. It is almost the same as Ballerina Pink, but it is a bit more vibrant and has less shimmer.

NYX Doll Pink is a bright, mid-toned fuschia pink. The ultimate "Barbie" lip color.
