I took a recent trip to my "not so" local Cosmetic Company Outlet, as I've had to urge for several months to stop in and see if I can find any good, discounted cosmetics.
I was mostly hoping to get my hands on some MAC brushes, but the items that particular CCO had in stock were a little on the "sad" side.
I did manage to find some things, though!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in 1W1 Bone - After wearing countless foundations that don't get me through a long day, I started to miss an old favorite - Estee Lauder Double Wear.
It's a foundation that I could always rely on that provides full coverage on those shy-of-perfect skin days, is transfer-resistant and long wearing. Love this stuff.
MAC #192 Cheek/Face Brush - A small, synthetic paddle shaped foundation-type brush with a tapered tip that was designed for use of face products, such as moisturizer and/or cream blush. This brush has been discontinued.
I was drawn to this brush immediately as I love using foundation brushes to apply my concealer as opposed to tiny concealer brushes. This brush looked like the perfect brush to apply my concealer. I haven't tested it out yet, but I'm pretty anxious to!
Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in #55 Pink Cloud -The only thing that stinks from buying makeup from a CCO (other than it being very old) is finding an awesome shade, and then later finding that it's a discontinued shade. Le sigh.
Pink Cloud has the potential of being my favorite pink lipstick, but it appears that our love will be short lived, as I'm sure I'll have trouble finding a back-up.
It's a creamy, light yellow-toned pink (which makes it appear slightly coral/flamingo pink in the tube). On the lips it's a little bit lighter, and more of a bubble-gum pink. It reminds me a little bit of one of my older favorite lipsticks by MAC called Colour Crafted (but much more wearable).
MAC Royal Azalea Sheen Supreme - A shade that would typically be very unlike me to purchase in the past. It's funny though how certain colors I couldn't wear when I was tan, are flattering on me now. And vise-versa. I wouldn't get near a blue-based pink in the past (being a tan MAC NC40), but now, chillin' in my au natural NC15 skin, MAC Snob doesn't look all that bad, and my HG MAC Shygirl doesn't look too HG status anymore.
Royal Azalea is a light, cotton candy pink with blue undertones. It's incredibly creamy with opaque coverage, and very comfortable on the lips.
MAC Kissable Lip Color in Enchantee - MAC Kissable Lip Color Lip Glosses were limited edition glosses that launched early last year in the MAC Peacocky Collection. They claimed to be a hybrid of a lipstick and gloss, giving you the coverage of a lipstick, with the finish of a gloss that is lightweight and will last for hours.
Enchantee is a cool toned light pink. It's very lightweight, non-sticky, provides good coverage and lasts longer on my lips than typical lip glosses. Bummer this was limited edition!
MAC Enchantee, Bobbi Brown Pink Cloud and MAC Royal Azalea.
If you'd like to see individual reviews for any of these products, let me know!
Love those lip colors!

EL Double Wear is definitely an amazing foundation! :)
ReplyDeleteI love how creamy those lip colors look..btw, Enchantee was repromoted in the Shop MAC collection, so it may still be available somewhere out there! :D
Would love to see FOTDs with these colors, I bet they'll all look amazing on you beauty! :)
Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try the foundation out...Going to LA in few weeks, there is the CCO on the way, hopefully I will be back with few goodies.

Ooou I love Pink Cloud!
ReplyDeleteAwww, jealous! I want to try one out.
ReplyDeleteWhat were the prices like?
DeleteMakeup-wise, I think the best of deals are mostly on foundations, powders and probably makeup brushes. I saw several Bobbi Brown Foundations for around $30-$32, and they retail for $46, so it's a pretty good deal. I bought the Estee Lauder for $24.50, and it's $35 at the counter.
DeleteMAC shadows I believe are around $10.50, MAC lipsticks are about $12 - So only a few dollars difference, but still a good deal, and you can find limited edition shades that you'd pay much more for if you ordered online.
I think I paid $16 for the Bobbi Brown Lipstick, and it retails for $23.
Sigma has a brush similar to that one. I never new MAC had one like that in the past. The bobbi brown lipstick looks so nice
ReplyDeleteI just got the MAC Lightscapade highlighter (with lots of blue veining) at the Estee Lauder Company Store for $19.75. MAC is releasing Lightscapade again in the Reel Sexy collection for $28. I also saw the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for $21. The products at my Estee Lauder Company Store are a tad bit higher than the products at the CCO because my Estee Lauder Company Store caters towards people who work in the financial district.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the price difference between the CCO and my Estee Lauder Company Store is not that big. The products at my Estee Lauder Company Store are only about 25-50 cents more than the products at the CCO.
DeleteSweet deal! I paid $24.50 for the Double Wear, and it's $35 at the counter. It's a pretty good deal, I suppose though, you'll know at the counter that it's probably fresher product and there is sometimes a GWP on purchases of $35. So maybe it isn't the best of deals, but oh well. lol Wow, that's crazy the price difference is so little! That's pretty sweet.
DeleteI actually bought MAC Shy Girl based on one of your older reviews, but it didn't look so great on my pale skin. ;) So I totally get what you're saying about different shades being less/more flattering whether you're pale or tan!
ReplyDeleteIt was the absolutely perfect color for me when I was a bit more tan. Right now, I can only seem to really pull off pale pinks!
Deletegreat finds
ReplyDeleteI think cool pinks look good on brunettes, the contrast is sexy. Warmer pinks look good with blonde hair or highlights.
ReplyDeleteI *love* the Bobbi Brown lipstick! CCO's are always so hit and miss for me...I'll end up either seeing something beautiful, but finding it's barely had anything knocked off the price, or just not being that impressed by the older stock :/
ReplyDeleteLooks like a really good haul you got there though!

theres CCO's in the UK. Not many but last time I went to one they didnt have any of the shade I wanted in the estee lauder double wear foundation I was gutted =(
ReplyDeleteI LOVE CCO - the one at the Camarillo Outlets (outside of LA) has been looking a little sad the last few times I went though =(
ReplyDeleteOhh I love Enchantee! Great color :)
ReplyDeleteNatty i have to ask....what makeup brush did you use with the estee lauder double wear?
ReplyDeleteI like using a duo-fiber stippling brush with double wear. A synthetic flat top brush gives me too much coverage. The Real Techniques Stippling Brush has been my favorite as of lately for all of my foundations! :)
DeleteUrghhhh the nearest CCO to me is like...FOREVER away. But I want to go so baaaadly. Of course I'd love individual reviews of everything...especially the lippies!
ReplyDeleteI wish there were CCO here in Belgium. It's such a great concept! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff you bought, I love it all.
