Two Coats of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
Sally Hansen Pacific Blue is a bright, royal-blue cream polish with a shiny finish. It's almost a cross between royal blue and periwinkle blue. There are so many different shades of blue, and this particular shade is at the top of my list. I think it's a great summer shade, especially with the current "pop of neon" trend. This shade goes particularly well with neon yellow.
When I think of neon yellow, I think of this Cambridge bag I've been lusting over for the past few months. But I can't help but think that I'll probably never wear again after the summer. What do you think?

Here's a comparison to what I'd call true blue. Note the difference?

Application with this polish is pretty good. It applies evenly and almost completely opaque with one coat. If you're an impatient gal, you could definitely get away with one coat of this polish. I opted for two for full opacity and a shiny top coat. I did notice with the second coat the polish seemed slightly thick. I may add a couple drops of thinner to the bottle.
Absolutely love this shade and I'm sure I'll be wearing it all summer long.
What's on your nails?
That looks soooo nice, do you think it would suit a nc42 skintone/finger tips?, I dont think i'm brave enough to wear such a bright blue nail polish but that looks so tempting!
ReplyDeleteI adore this color! I wear blue all year wrong and I looveee this one. I have to go pick it up.

Love the first polish, it's such an amazing colour! Also loving the Cambridge Satchel so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have this polish as well and just love it! The color is so vibrant and I have yet to find an exact dupe.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the photo of the neon Cambridge satchel. What a great color combo! I've seen some of those friendship and hardware bracelets that are so popular now, in neon colors and this just gave me the idea to pair them together. Thx for the post!
wow I love the first nail polish color! it´s so bright! thanks for sharing
ReplyDeletewoah that's a suuuper pretty blue :o i need to get more nail polishes so this will be on top of my list c:
ReplyDeleteThis color looks so pretty! :o I'll be buying it next time I see it. :D
ReplyDeleteHey Natalie! I know this has nothing to do with the post but which would you recommend: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk or Chanel Vitalumiere. Also, which one has the best staying power. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteHi Alexis!
DeleteReally tough choice because I love both foundations so much, but ultimately, I'd choose Armani Luminous Silk over Vitalumiere. I find that Armani stays in tact better throughout the day and lasts longer on my skin overall.
Good luck!
I've been hearing so much about this nail polish everywhere. Where do you get nail polish thinner?
ReplyDeleteReally!? I'd look at it every time I go to the store and usually pass it up because I have so many polishes. Really happy I finally got it.
DeleteI purchase thinner from Sally's Beauty Supply for a couple of dollars. It comes in handy with my Seche Vite Top Coat that tends to thicken up.
That color is amazing! I've been so into royal blue lately! I need this :) Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteThe 2nd polish is way more settle and pretty:)
ReplyDeleteOMG. I need this color like now.
ReplyDeleteMy nails are covered in NYC In a Minute quick dry -- Sidewalkers. Perfect gray color. Reckon has a pretty blue called Coastal Surf. =)

ReplyDeleteFunny, I have the very same feeling about the color neon yellow - I absolutely identify it with this exact bag, which I think looks fabulous. On the other hand, I was thinking the same thing - would I still wear neon yellow after this summer season...?
