The Jewelmint Midnight Blues Ring.

Jewelmint Midnight Blues Ring

I apologize for another accessory post, but my Jewelmint packages have been piling up over the past month. Recently, there was a promotion going on for 4 rings for $40 ($120 value). I quickly jumped on that promotion and promptly received my rings in the mail.

Jewelmint Midnight Blues Ring is my favorite ring of the ones I chose and it's easily one of my favorite Jewelmint items I own to this date. It features a cheetah with gray rhinestones and sapphire crystal eyes and a large sapphire crystal stone. The ring has an oxidized (antique finish) silver finish.

I really like that the ring itself is a statement piece without being too oversized. Sometimes similar style oversized rings can steer into tacky-ville, but I think it's the perfect size and looks really chic and eye catching on the hand.

The quality of this ring is really good and it's an item I would have definitely paid full price for. It's currently sold out, but if it happens to come back, it's an item I highly recommend.

Jewelmint Ascot Race Ring Review with Photos!

Jewelmint Ascot Race Ring

Jewelmint Ascot Race Ring

Jewelmint Ascot Race Ring is a re-make of the popular gold Royal Ascot Ring that was featured on Jewelmint in early 2012. It's the same exact ring, but this time, it's in silver (silver-plated). The design of the ring is equestrian, or horse riding inspired and is a simple wrap of two buckles, or what looks to be horse saddle stirrups.

Whenever I look down at my finger I can't help but be reminded of the signature Gucci buckles that you see on their sunglasses and bags.

I think it makes for a good every day ring because of it's simplicity, but if you prefer something a little more dainty for every day, this ring does take up about an inch of my finger. It reaches my knuckle on my ring finger, but it's not at all uncomfortable.

As usual, the quality is great and I think it will last me a long time.

Jewelmint Starstruck Ring Review with Photos!

Jewelmint Starstruck Ring

Jewelmint Starstruck Ring

At around Christmas time, there was a promotion running on Jewelmint for three rings of your choice for the price of one (or $9.99 each). I ended up getting three rings, so as always, I'm going to let you know my opinion of them.

Jewelmint Starstruck Ring is a really fun silver-plated two band ring -  one thick and one slim ring the are connected by two fine chains. It also has a little etched star with a small rhinestone in the middle to add a little something extra to an otherwise very plain ring.

I really like items of jewelry that are "different" and I've never seen anything like this ring. It goes in hand a bit with the dainty knuckle ring trend as the second band lays pretty high on the finger. The top band is also adjustable, so you can wear it as tight (or loose) as you want it.

I've worn it several times so far, and even though it might not seem like it would be comfortable, it's actually very comfortable and doesn't bother me or get in the way throughout the day.

Jewelmint Starstruck Ring
(As someone mentioned, the thin band on my ring has the opening on the front instead of the back. I think it was an error on Jewelmint's part, but I still wear it as is and don't mind it at all!)

From what I can tell the quality is very good, and it's a ring I'd definitely recommend!

All items from Jewelmint are $29.99 with free shipping, but there are promotions very often so I wouldn't recommend paying the full price. Currently there is a promotion for 70% off your first item, which would bring the total to $9.99 with free shipping. The code is 70FIRST.

Jewelmint Cersai Necklace Review!

Jewelmint Cersai Necklace

This is my last Jewelmint post of the month, I swear! It's pretty rare for me to find more than one item I want from month to month, but I really liked the selection for December and ending up getting three items in total. The last item I'll be posting about is the Cersai Necklace.

Jewelmint Cersai Necklace is a really edgy piece with a double box chain that features matching spike/cone & rhinestone beads on each side and a large abstract tribal inspired rhinestone pendant with dangling spikes. It links with a toggle closure.

When I first saw this piece I thought the style was a bit "tough" and edgy, and the fact that the shape of the pendant is so unique/different, it really drew to me to it. I love spikes when they are incorporated in an accessory in a tasteful manner, and I like how the are only an accent in this necklace and not the main focus. The more I look at it, it really does have a tribal feel - the spikes remind me a bit of teeth or horns that you might see on tribal or native jewelry.

The actual quality of the necklace is so-so. It looks like a heavy duty necklace, but it's actually very light and feels a bit hollow. I'm slightly disappointed that it isn't a more weighty piece, but it doesn't take away from the visual appeal of the necklace itself.

Jewelmint Burgundy Brilliance Earrings Review & Photos!

Jewelmint Burgundy Brilliance Earrings

Jewelmint Burgundy Brilliance Earrings

I have another Jewelmint post for you today! I actually purchased three items from my December showroom, all of which were new for the month of December.

Jewelmint Burgundy Brilliance Earrings feature a burgundy (which actually appears more amber in person) and a dangling long, slim polished silver triangle/spike filled with sparking gray stones.
"Long and ladylike, for a dose of high-end elegance, antique drip metal with black diamond embellishments meets burgundy crystal studs to create a look that's irresistibly fierce. About the Burgundy Brilliance Earrings: 6 mm burgundy stones attach to surgical steel posts. Imitation rhodium plating of drip metal equals 55mm long and is adorned by 1.5 mm black diamond colored crystals."
They absolutely beautiful, feminine, dainty yet also edgy. They are so unique and shine beautifully on the ears. The design is ultra light weight and very well crafted. They feel really light on the ears - in fact, when wearing them, I can't feel them at all!

These earrings are definitely one of my top favorites from all of my Jewelmint jewelry. They are overall such a classy piece and one that I think anyone would love. Highly recommended!

Jewelmint Pave Deco Ring Review & Photos! (Pic Heavy Post)

Jewelmint Pave Deco Ring

 Jewelmint Pave Deco Ring

Jewelmint Pave Deco Ring is another interesting piece from the Jewelmint December Collection. It's a large, chucky yellow gold with a dulled antique finish topped off with a silver cube filled with shimmering stones.
"Reminiscent of the wintery beauty of our best-selling Ever Frost Ring, this cubed sparkler takes the cocktail ring to a whole new level of glittering, edgy glamour. About the Pave Deco Ring: 4 sided center stoned cube measures 10 mm x 13 mm with 1.8 mm violet crystals. Worn imitation 14k gold ring measures 6 mm at the base and 14 mm across the top."
It's a really interesting and abstract piece, and I really don't own anything like it. I love large, kind of gaudy rings - sometimes even borderline masculine rings. With the size of this ring, it is a bit masculine, and it almost has a futuristic feel to it.

I like it best worn on the pointer finger as shown in the promo image on the Jewelmint site.

The quality of this ring seems to be really good. Generally, I've found that Jewelmint Rings are of excellent quality. This ring is really sturdy and has a bit of weight to it, but it's still comfortable on the finger.

I'm a bit worried about the cube though. The way it's positioned on the actual band, I feel that if I accidentally knocked the cube against something that there could be a chance it could pop off. It may very well not be the case at all, though. It could be soldered on very well, but just to be on the safe side, I'm not going to be wearing this ring every day.

Jewelmint Classic Cinema Bracelet Review!

jewelmint classic cinema bracelet

Jewelmint Classic Cinema Bracelet

Jewelmint Classic Cinema Bracelet is a new spin on the Cinema Americano Bracelet. It's the same design, but for July, the new version was released in silver.

The bracelet is a mixture of curb and cable links with two textured links that give this bracelet a bit of style. The bracelet measures 7 1/2".

I love the gaudy, chunky chain trend, so when I saw this bracelet in my July showroom, I thought it'd be a perfect everyday piece. You may have noticed that I skipped June, because I really didn't see anything I liked. But I actually liked a few items this month, and I ended up deciding on one that I thought I could get the most use out of/the most practical.

Needless to say, I received it in the mail today and wasn't too satisfied with it. Had I saw the bracelet in person, I would have chosen something else.

The weight of the piece is nice - it's not heavy, but it's not ultra-lightweight. It's well-made, and the links are attached very sturdy. The clasp is also very sturdy.

It's not a shiny silver, but it's not grungy/oxidized . It looks a lot like dull, stainless steel.

Jewelmint Armor Ring Review! Plus 65% off code!

 Jewelmint Armor Ring

It's been a while since my last Jewelmint post, so I was excited when I received my April selection in the mail this morning. I wasn't too crazy about anything these past couple of months, but when I saw the Armor Ring, I knew I had to have it.

Jewelmint's Armor Ring features a pale, oxidized silver 2 1/4" long, finger-hugging shield filled with rows of shiny crystals.

I found no flaws in my ring, and after wearing it for a few hours, find that it's really comfortable on my hand while going about my routine, writing and typing on the computer. Every now and then I glance at my hand to admire the glistening crystals.

I know it's not too unique or anything - I actually own a bunch of similar shaped rings that I purchased from various places (mostly Forever 21) for a few dollars, but after wearing them often, the color of the metal changed on just about all of them. This brings me to the reason I wanted the Armor Ring. I own several items from Jewelmint and actually, I wear my Jewelmint rings most days out of the week, and none of them have changed color, lost stones, etc. I wanted a good quality ring that is still inexpensive, but will last me for much longer.

Jewelmint Persephone Pendant Review with Lots of Photos!

jewelmint persephone pendant review

Jewelmint Persephone Pendant

Alright, Jewelmint time of the month y'all!

I wasn't too crazy about the February selection of Jewelmint jewelry. I was hoping for cuter items in spirit of Valentine's Day (even though I'm 23, I still love anything heart shaped). None of the items were really of my taste. I suppose that's better for my wallet, though!

There was one item that struck my interest, and that is the Persephone Pendant. I'm kind of a sucker for little trinkets, mini bottles - anything miniature, really, so this perfume bottle pendant was totally my taste. Although the shape of the bottle kind of resembles a flask, and I'm hoping I won't be mistaken for an alcoholic.

Jewelmint Persephone Pendant

Wrapped around the pendant is an adorable flower design (daisies?) which is perfectly suited for Spring. The cap of the bottle has a little white stone (plastic), which is a nice little touch of detail. The silver coloring is oxidized like many of Jewelmint's pieces to give off an aged/vintage appearance. The chain is 30" in length, and lays right below my chest.

Jewelmint Metal Mosaic Ring Review!

jewelmint metal mosaic ring

Jewelmint Metal Mosaic Ring

Hey Everyone, quick Jewelmint post today - I purchased another ring that I've had my eyes on for a while. It's one of their older pieces that has been around since I joined a few months ago. It's the 'Metal Mosaic Ring'.

I decided to finally get it after realizing how well it would coordiante with my most recent Madison Avenue Ring. I do of course have other silver rings, but I'm a big fan of the quality of Jewelmint's rings. I have three, and they are all very sturdy, heavy, comfortable and haven't tarnished/discolored in any way.

The Metal Mosaic Ring is available in one color, silver, which is oxidized to give off an antique/grungy look. It's made up of a cluster of different sized squares that are all connected. It's a really unique and "different" ring. It really looks like a small piece of art on your finger.

Kate Bothworth says,

"This ring is the type of piece that will carry over so well from running around in the day to enjoying a night on the town. It's one of my favorite rings we've done so far. Channel Alexander Wang - a little tough, urban and very cool. "

Jewelming Madison Avenue Ring Review with Lots of Photos!

jewelming madison avenue ring

 Jewelmint Madison Avenue Ring

I promised you all there wouldn't be any more Jewelmint posts until January, and you got it! I received my January piece a little early - a few days after Christmas and I've been wearing it just about every day since. It has quickly become my "go-to" ring for every day.

It's available in one color, silver, which is slightly oxidized for an "aged" look, with a row of 10 sparkly gray crystals running through the center. The design is inspired by 1920's Art Deco, where such designs have been spotted on the runway by high end designers, such as Gucci and Ralph Lauren. It has an antique feel to it, yet it also looks very modern. It's a ring that can be dressed up or down and will go well with anything.

jewelmint madison avenue ring
As far as the sizing goes, my ring finger is a 6. It's an absolute perfect fit. There is no struggle to put it on or take it off, and by the end of the day it still sits on my finger secure without feeling loose. The only thing is, it doesn't fit on any of my other fingers. I can't even get it half-way down my pointer finger or middle finger on the same hand. My opposite hand (my right) is slightly larger; my ring finger is around a 6.25 to a 6.50 and I can't get it past my knuckle. If the band was shaped normally, it would fit, but because it's a square, it's a tighter fit. If you're a very true 6, 7 or 8, I'd recommend going with your size. But, for those with half or quarter sizes, I'd recommend going one size up. If you have large knuckles, you may have a problem with the fit of this ring, and I'd highly recommend ordering a size up.

It's a really comfortable ring and doesn't ever seem to get in the way or bother me when I'm typing on the keyboard or going about my day.

Jewelmint Pomander Pendant Review with Lots of Photos!

jewelmint pomander pendant

Jewelmint Pomander Pendant

I know I've featured a lot of Jewelmint this month, but I swear, this will be it for a while. Or, at least until January. I was looking at the Pomander Pendant for a while, and decided on getting it before it's gone. It's currently "almost sold out".

The Pomander Pendant features a 32" antique gold/brass coloured chain, holding a perforated sphere, that opens and closes with a magnetic clasp. The sphere is meant to hold a small piece of fragrant cotton, and when worn around your neck, you should be able to smell the scent as you go about your day.

Jewelmint says, "Don this piece with your signature scent and make a lasting impression whenever you leave a room."

I think it's an adorable design and idea, and a piece that can be very sentimental to many. You can put any scent that makes you happy; your favorite perfume, your significant others cologne, a fragrance that reminds you of a parent or loved one, etc. You can even "test" out a fragrance you've been eyeballing, by spraying a little bit on a piece of cotton at your local dept. store.

Jewelmint Lunar Blue Necklace Review!

jewelmint lunar blue necklace review

Jewelmint Lunar Blue Necklace

Yep, you guessed it, more Jewelmint. Earlier this month I posted about the Easy Rider Necklace and the Silver Swan Bracelet. Both pieces I love to death, and when I realized that there are pieces made that won't be re-made, I quickly ordered the Lunar Blue Necklace. Lucky I did, because the following day it was sold out.

Actually, just about every item in my showroom is sold out, which I've never seen before! Maybe many people are purchasing Jewelmint for the holidays?

I'm so happy I did get the Lunar Blue Necklace, because it's probably my favorite item I own from Jewelmint.

The Lunar Blue Necklace features a 19" silver curb chain with a silver square pendant and a gold square accent atop. In the middle lies a sky blue, oval stone. From the bottom of the pendant, there is a row of small dangling chains. It's an unusual piece, but very pretty. The silver is oxidized, so it has more of a matte finish. It has a slight worn look to it, but still shines very nicely. The gold detail has a standard shiny finish, so the different finish and contrasting metals compliment each other very well. The pale blue "stone" isn't really a gemstone, but plastic. When it first launched, I know the fact that it was plastic was disappointing to some, but because I already knew, I wasn't disappointed. To me, this is a really stand-out necklace and looks very high-end.

Jewelmint Easy Rider Necklace Review!

jewelmint easy rider necklace review

Jewelmint Easy Rider Necklace

My December Jewelmint item arrived in the mail today. I had my heart set on getting the Vanguard Necklace, but it literally sold out before my eyes. So, I went with my next choice, which is (somewhat-kinda-not really) similar; the Easy Rider Necklace.

The Easy Rider Necklace features a 36" gold curb chain with gold tubing and silver faux barbed wire castings. This is another item that has an edgy feel, yet feminine because it is so long and dainty. I find it looks best when paired with lightweight tops, such as a flowy chiffon or silk blouse or with a blazer. It also goes very well with a gold statement ring (such as the Everfrost ring) or watch. It can be worn at the full length, or it can be doubled with one chain laying directly around the neck, and the other one laying right above the chest. For my personal preference, I like it at it's full length, as doubling it can feel uncomfortable on the neck.

Jewelmint Silver Swan Bracelet Review + 70% OFF your Jewelmint Purchase!

jewelmint silver swan bracelet

Jewelmint Silver Swan Bracelet

I boarded the Jewelmint bandwagon back in September, and although I'm not obsessed, I have found a piece here and there that I liked. I've posted about Jewelmint a couple of times before (Ever Frost Ring and Here To Eternity Set) showing you my monthly selection. I skipped October, but for the month of November I chose The Silver Swan Bracelet.

I was interested in The Golden Goose Bracelet for a while, which is the same exact bracelet in gold, but I ended up passing on it in the long run. But, when I saw that they launched a silver edition, I figured I could get much more use out of it since I've been wearing mostly silver as of lately.

The Golden Goose Bracelet, 2nd from the left. (Photo Credit)
I love fashion jewelry with a bit of an edge, and to add to my spike addiction, these so-called "diamond shaped castings" look a lot like spikes. There are seven castings in total, with one of them being covering in shiny crystals. I think the one casting with the crystals is what really makes this piece unique, inviting and it also adds a touch of femininity to an edgy piece of jewelry.

Jewelmint Ever Frost Ring Review with Lots of Photos!

jewelmint ever frost ring

Jewelmint Ever Frost Ring

ITEM DESCRIPTION: Alpine trend alert! Get lost in a winter wonderland with this sleek design. Our 1” wide geometric ring boats pave crystal icing and pearly white enamel. Pulling off this piece yearlong is easy with its glowing 14k gold-plated sides. Give your closet a fresh spin, and live out your Snow White fantasy in the most modern way.

I can't really say all of the Jewelmint pieces are "me", but I'll usually find at least one piece a month that I really like. This month the only others I liked were the Western Dream Earrings, Lunar Blue Necklace and Silver Zip Bracelet. I've liked the Silver Zip Bracelet for a while now, and I feel like I'll regret not eventually getting it. I guess I'm just waiting for a good coupon code to come along (a really good coupon code).

I liked the Ever Frost Ring a lot in the photos, and I'm really happy with my choice. I love mixing metals and the fact that it's silver, gold and white, it's very versatile. I've been wearing it with both silver, gold and rose gold and it always matches great. I really like the way it looks on the same hand with my Rose Gold watch combined with a silver bracelet. It's really trendy, edgy and is definitely a statement ring.

It seems very well crafted, and although it may look really heavy, it's actually pretty lightweight. My ring finger is a 6, but since I didn't know how the sizing would run, to be safe, I figured I'd order a 7. I'd most likely wear it on pointer finger or middle finger anyway. Well, I got the 7 and it falls right off my ring finger but fits fine on my pointer and middle finger - it's not very snug on either, so I believe it runs slightly large, if anything.

jewelmint ever frost ring

Did you order anything this month?

If you haven't heard of Jewelmint, check it out HERE. There are so many coupon codes out that it's hard to keep track of them all, but the best codes are always for first time purchases.

The best code I found for New Members/First Purchase is 60% OFF Your first piece with code: EXITPOP60. It's not stated when it expires (it may be 9/30). It will bring the $29.99 price tag down to $11.99 AND you get free shipping. Awesome deal.

For Existing Members, the best I've found is $8 OFF your next purchase with code: AEREE. You'll end up paying $21.99 with free shipping, which isn't too bad depending on the item you choose (some seem more worth it than others).

Happy Shopping!

JewelMint: A Run-down, First Impressions & My First Jewel Mint Piece - The Here to Eternity Set!

There are several companies and products that have flourished because of the chatter on beauty blogs all over the world. For one, Sigma Brushes. If I didn't have a beauty blog, I'd most likely have no idea what Sigma was. Look how popular it is now. When you're a blogger, you get introduced into so many brands and products that you may not have heard of, been interested prior, or even need. But with the endless blog entries and YouTube videos with crisp images of visually pleasing products and trends - you'll get sucked in sooner or later.

Personally, a guilty pleasure of mine is reading or watching hauls. I'm not sure why, but it's exciting to see photos of products I don't have or products that are pretty. It's fun to see what people buy and it gives me ideas (as well as a never ending wish list) of things to purchase one day. It's all up to you whether to restrain yourself from buying things on impulse. Could this possibly be the beauty blogging era of makeup hoarders? I think it would make a nice TV series. Shoot, I'd tune in to see someones ridiculous collection of eyeshadow and blush. :) I'm getting a little off topic now, but It's like going in Mrs. Field's just to browse. Who does that!? (Okay, I'm guilty of doing it when I'm on a diet to somehow to visually "feed" my mind without actually eating it, but that's besides the point) Anyways. I'm sure most of you by now have heard of Jewel Mint.

I don't really remember how long ago it was when I first heard of Jewel Mint, but I know I first heard of it through a YouTube video of someone showing the pieces they purchased from that particular month. I wasn't really interested at the time, but since then, Jewel Mint has become so much more popular. One of my absolute favorite Youtuber's hollyannaeree has done several videos regarding Jewel Mint, and I have to admit, seeing the awesome things she got, made me want to subscribe.
