E.L.F. Studio Lip Exfoliator
E.L.F. Studio Lip Exfoliator ($3) is a stick made up of sugar, vitamin E, shea butter, avocado, grape, jojoba oil and waxes that together work to remove dry and chapped skin as well as smooth and condition the lips.Directions: Apply to clean, damp lips and massage the lips in circular motions. Use a moistened cotton pad with water to gently wipe away the scrub (or just simply rinse with water). *It's important that the lips are damp so the skin will remove easier.
As a part of my morning routine after I brush my teeth, I always use the E.L.F. Studio Lip Exfoliator.
What I love most of all is the convenience of this product. I have very dry lips 24/7 and I need a good daily scrub for my lips, but I rarely ever do it. Between managing my crazy hair, plucking the hairs on my face till my hands cramp up, exfoliating, cleaning and moisturizing my face - I try to get away with the least steps possible. Most often my lips are neglected.
The stick takes a few uses before it reaches the grit, and because there are some large pieces of grit it can sometimes feel a little scratchy, but overall it feels really good. What surprises me every time is how soft and supple my lips feel right after. I apply some lip balm on my lips to keep them from drying out, and I'm done in less than a minute. It's not at all messy so I can use it without disturbing the makeup around my lips if I'm using it mid-day or on my way out the door.
This product is so effective, and so cheap! It's only $3 on the E.L.F. website, and they often have 50% off Studio products, so I only paid $1.50. The code I used last month still works for 50% all studio products. Use code: ECD2.
If you suffer from dry lips and want a way to simplify for routine, check this product out!

Great review!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the coupon code!!
I've been looking for a lip scrub in a pot but this seems easier!! Thanks for the code! xx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea. I've used lip scrubs before, my favourite being by Lush, but they are always in jar form. I like that this one is in a lipstick form, much easier to use. This one has moisturising qualities too, added bonus!

ReplyDeleteinteresting product!
ReplyDeleteI am honestly surprised to read that this is a good product. I was actually thinking this would be a dud. Wow, maybe I'll have to pick it up for myself.
ReplyDeleteI thought so too. E.L.F. really surprises me sometimes!
DeleteThanks for reviewing this product, Natalie! I was considering purchasing this lip exfoliator but I wasn't entirely sure it would be very effective. I will for sure add it to my basket next time I am shopping on the E.L.F. website :)
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat the price! Definitely check it out, and let me know how you like it! :)
DeleteI had come across this product just the other day and was really interested in it, but wanted to make sure that it was worth it first! It seemed like such a funny coincidence when I saw you had posted a review on it! I can't wait to buy it the next chance I get! :)

ReplyDeleteheading over to ELF.com to see if i can get my hands on it!!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try this for so long! I think I finally will purchase it now! Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteIt works great! i have to use my fingers though to apply!
ReplyDeletecool product, looks good! quick question though...do you know of any that are 100% natural? seems a little strange to me that it has aspartame in it...thanks! : )
ReplyDeleteI found it odd that there is Aspartame in it as well. You can taste that it's very sweet on the lips, so I don't know if it was added in to make it taste better? Not like any of us would eat it, but it is on the lips, so you do kind of get a taste of it.
DeleteIf you're interested in a more natural option, type in 'homemade lip scrub' in Google. There are so many recipes that work great! They just aren't as convenient.
I need this in my life :)
ReplyDeleteI dont care for the products in the ELF line made in China and are not healthy great concept though
ReplyDeleteI hope this is already available in Philippines! Thanks for the great review! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat find!
ReplyDeleteI love elf products!

I've been wanting to try this lip exfoliator out for quite a while now. I suffer from dry lips, and they get especially bad in the harsh Canadian winters. I will definitely have to pick this up! Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any favorite products/balms that work well for you? The only thing that works for me is Smith's Rosebud Salve.. but I'm searching for other alternatives.
DeleteI must order this soon
ReplyDeleteThe Body Shop has a similar product called 'Lip Scuff' which I've been using for a few years now. It love it but I am going to try the E.L.F one as it is a lot cheaper ($3 vs $12.50 for the Lip Scuff). Thanks so much for the review!
ReplyDeleteGreat to know! Definitely give it a shot. It has overall great reviews, and it's so affordable!
DeleteThank you so much for this review! I have been thinking about buying this product, but just needed a push to convience me. This was it :D
